just got the digital 6 installed. the miss IS NOT related to the MSD. the miss is at idle and seems to clean up about 3000 rpm. plugs still get dark quickly. its been suggested to drop down from the 73square to 71 square jetting. how can 525hp only need 71 jets? ill try it but i dont understand it. what else do i need to look for? im fearing the worst. flat cam, bent valves or push rods, i got into the revlimiter (cheap limiter) really bad. dont know how far i spun it up to. thanks Dave

Are you running platnium plugs by any chance? How about resitor or non-resitor. With a cdi type igntion your suposed to use non-resistor spark plugs.


Inst the multi-spark function of a msd suposed to go out around 3000rpm? considence? How do you know its not related to the msd? Main jets dont effect the idle circut so I wouldnt even bother changeing jets.

ok i just pulled the plugs. #2 as always is the first to go, jet black and wet. #5 dark. the rest are tan or snow white. Ideas please? bad plug wire, leaking intake from the bottom? moon out of aligment, PMS, anything guys. im desperate. thanks Dave

pull the valve covers,,,check the cam

when i pull the valve covers, what am i going to be checking for? how do i check the cam this way. can i get specifics? how does the cam relate to black plugs? thanks Dave

You will tell right off the bat, start it up and if you have a couple rockers not moving or barely moving compared to the rest. If you look closely you ought to be able to tell if you have a bent pushrod also. Check and see if you have any rocker studs pulled out (if pressed in) or loosened up if screw in studs.

i checked my oil the other day, Drained some out, for a brand new engine things apperared to be normal. i really hate the idea of a bad cam, but it appears it happens on a regular basis. this is a roller though so i got my fingers crossed.
