Im in the process of building a internally balanced 406 that will see mostly street and limited strip duty.I will probably never spin it over 6500.How much of a investment do i need to make in dampner?Does its size matter  ?
There is such a range in prices.Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Give ATI a call. They make 6+" and 7+" dampners with 2-ring and 3-ring shells in aluminum and steel with both aluminum and steel hubs. These are to cover the requirements generated by different engine, power and rpm ranges.

Ditto on the ATI ;)
Do not use the aluminum hub one on the street.
For a 406 mostly street I would use the 7" all steel 917780.

Again...Ditto on the ATI...

Don't try to save $100 on the expensive rotating assembly and the balancing you pay for.
