will adjusting the valves too tight make it not want to idle very well? i did them yesterday and today it doesn't want to idle. just wanting to know if i got them too tight or if i have another problem spring up.

I assume its a solid flat tappet or solid roller cam? Whats the specs call for? What did you lash them at?

its a solid flat. specs call for .032ex .030in and yes i did use the feeler gauges. one thing i questioned before is that the cam card does not indicate to adjust them hot or cold. i did them cold. its a lunati #40211 .588in .601ex

I'm guessing here, but I would think with a spec of .030" & .032" that would be set with the motor hot. Dave

well see thats the thing, i put a post on here a week or two ago asking that question and got no replies. not a problem if nobody knows, but the thing is i can't find anything saying on the holley/lunati website either.
