My question is can I remove the coated wire from the fuse box and install a 14 gadge wire in its place to run to the new distrubutor, I would just pull a wire off a parts fuse box that is the correct size, and plug it in place of the one i pull out. Thanks for the help, Steve

Steve, I have done this conversion myself and I took the resistor wire which only lets around 9 volts through it and unplugged it from the box and replaced it with a 10 guage wire to feed 12 volts to the coil. I like the HEI, quick start ups and no maintenence so far. I put a hot coil and long saturation module on it and has reved to 6500 with no missed beats. Let us know how you like it.
