I've been doing some research here on a budget build up for a 396. I would like to buy a pair of 063 heads but where would I look for old heads besides a junkyard?

What do I look for? I have a set of heads from a SS 69 Elcamino sitting on my shelf in the garage.

you gotta be patient, i looked for a set of resaonbly priced closed chambered heads for about 6 months and finally found a set of 063's for 250 bucks!!!! they even have the bigger intake valves in them. If you post a wanted add in the classifieds on chevelles.com you usually get some offers on some. just depends on how much you want to spend Might want to check out Racingjunk.com. thats where i found my set. also check out ebay. thats my best ideas.....
