I need to buy some pushrod for the combo in my sig and just want to know what pushrod people are running in their high performance engines and what brand do you recommend. I have seen them price from Comp Cam $7812@$30.00 to over a $100.00. So what do you look for in a good pushrod?

i look for .080 wall thickness, guideplate usage and chromemoly.i think Manley is about the best quality for the buck.$75.00-$80.00.i'm a little scared of the cheaper brands of pushrods such as proform.

With a solid cam beefy springs and lots of RPM you don't want to skimp on pushrods. I just bought a set of Comp Magnums for $111 shipped.
Though I had no trouble with 6500rpm blasts on my summit rods, ya just never know. $50 more is cheap insurance for what could potentially be a catastrophe.

Comp cams recommends thier Magnum or Hi-Tech pushrods for a cam with similar lift and duration to yours.
I admit to being surprised, I did not expect you would need such expensive pushrods. I had originally figured that most any aftermarket, hardended pushrod the proper length would have been fine.
I learn something every day.
