just wondering what prep is needed to paint chrome bumpers body color. Will a light sanding be enough to give the primer a good bond, or will it peel off the chrome??

i had mine sandblasted then i primed & painted. looks fine 4 years later.

I always lightly sandblast & follow up with self etch primer - Works great.

back in the day. We just sanded mine and self etching primer. Came out great.
