im looking at el caminos to buy and need to find out how to tell a ss from non ss.years between 69-72 and early 80s is there a easy way to do this? thanks for any help on this.

Quick way to tell the 70's would be from the dash..the SS had circular gauges speedo etc. and the regular old Elkies had rectangular.

There are a lot of clones out there...like the one I'm making so don't be fooled...theres lots of other ways to tell but thats just about the quickest.
