I have a 540 in a 69 Elky. I bought ceramic coated full length competition hooker headers. The first small bump and they are ruined. Would a regular set of hookers buy me any room for clearance. And, would I loose much performance.

i think your best bet is to stay away from bumps or set the frontend up for the bumps. with out seeing the 2 headers side by side its hard to say if you would get any clearnce. .
