I can get a 89 Camaro IROC aluminum driveshaft for very cheap from my friend, do u think it will fit my 69 chevelle 4 speed with some machining.

I wonder if that is a 1LE driveshaft?
I'd post this on thirgden.org and some other third gen sites. The aluminum driveshafts can be pretty strong. I know the Ford Motorsport one for the Mustangs is very strong (lots of 10 and 9 sec cars using them).

Well it probably isn't long enough.

It probably wasn't designed to take the power and weight of your Chevelle.

Aluminum shafts aren't a bad idea, its just this might not be the most effective way to get one.

I'd think that by the time you paid to have it fit for your Chevelle, you could get a better one from Denny's.
