I am building a 64 BBC Malibu SS. It appears that a low mount power steering pump will hit the steering box. I do not have any parts to mock up and confirm. I am getting ready to purchase what I need and I do not want the hastle of getting the wrong set up. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
Ask for Chip. This is by far the best Power Steering Box and it comes with a Lifetime Warranty. He can build a Fast Ratio Box if you prefer. Chip will be able to supply a correct core as well as the Power Steering Pump, Brackets, etc.
http://www.powersteering.com/ Chip set me up with everything to convert my 64 Malibu SS from Manual to Power Steering. Everything is perfect.

All of the early BB Chevelles with SWP used unique power steering pump setups. The pump itself used a remote reservoir and the mounting bracket placed the pump higher and way out over the steering gearbox. Several of the resto part suppliers sell the pumps and mounts but be prepared to pay top dollar for them.
