My exhaust is TOAST. Looks horrible, It's almost time to redo everything. I need new mufflers and all new pipes. Heres what I will be doing:

Tips will be coming out in front of the back tires. I know I need the same side In and Out. Magnaflow makes one, and Flowmaster also makes an 80 series (Not the huge 80 series). I ordered the magnaflows because ive never run them and they were less expensive, I think I want the Flows, I still have time to decide. I just want this thing to sound like a tank graemlins/beers.gif I was talking to a guy with a custom 38' He has flows and told me the maganflows have more high end? Or lose more high end? I cant remember, and losing some desiples. Just like to hear a couple comments or ideas. Always extremely helpful.

Those mufflers should be plenty loud, but will sound different that the 'hollow barrrel' Flow sound. I should think they'd be louder than the Flowmasters , based on the fact they are smaller. They'll also handle more power.

What the exhaust note of your car should sound like is purely a matter of individual taste. Just a caution for you, I have MagnaFlows behind a big block and they are quite loud. I would say listening to your radio at highway speeds is mildly compromised. Good luck either way. R. B.

How about a suit case full of Why I oughta instead! :D hah, well darn. I dont know now. 2 weeks from today I will be doing my mufflers & Pipes, unless I can squeeze it in before payday. Sometime soon I will be putting in a big block also, right now I cant here a thing on the freeway and alot of streets, I do have an exhaust leak though graemlins/thumbsup.gif Yeah the magnas are like 3" shorter, a little smaller diameter I am guessing too? I think there in the 8x5 oval series. I wish they had them in a regular finish, I had to get the stainless Steel, which is shiney and nice, but the rest of the underbody isnt! Thanks guys....

Even the standard aluminized ones look very well constructed. I use th big 22" 3" 12578s and they are not loud. Its a function of size.
