i was just wondering if the (flipper) hood was on all 1971 SS 454 chevelles, or was it optional?

The door in the hood and the cowl induction system was optional. mmurphy77 Sep 24th, 07, 1:21 PM RPO ZL2 was the code for the functional cowl induction ("flapper"). I believe stripes came with the ZL2 option whether you wanted them or not. They could be deleted on the standard SS domed hood. They could be deleted on the standard SS domed hood. Technically, the stripes weren't deleted on the standard SS hood since the stripes were a separate option.
