: SC&C A arm problem?

Went to install the new upper A arms and tall ball joints from SC&C (Stage 2 plus) and had a problem with the A arm hitting the outside of the vertical frame support that the A arm bolts to. Not sure what we are doing wrong. Kind of leery about cutting the gusset because it is, well...a support. Has anyone had this problem and what did you do? I do have an email in to Marcus at SC&C and thought I would post here as y'all have a lot of experience and Marcus is here sometimes as well.

I can post a pic if I need to.

Thanks for the help.

cut the gusset down... there's way more there than necessary (seriously, most purpose built race-cars don't have that big of a gusset!)

cut the gusset down...

I have also heard that is what is necessary. You should be fine with a little clearance grinding.

I am surprised that is not covered in the instructions, I have seen a few posts on that.

Yeah, there were basically no instructions at all. There is definitely a left and right side and there was not even an indication that I saw saying as to which was which. Maybe I am just missing something? I have asked Mark at SC&C for some clarification. I am sure he will get back to me soon as he has always been very responsive.

My install needed just a notch for clearance.... not too much to worry about.

They install with the welded side of the balljoint mount toward the front, and the bolts facing downward. The rear sleeve should be longer than the front.

Okay, my bad. My buddy pulled the instructions out when we received the parts several ago and forgot he had them. Oh well, that cost us a day. We got it now.

Thanks for the help.
