Quick question. I just picked up an 86 GMC pickup truck that originaly had a 700r4 and now has a 350 turbo automatic. How do I determine what transmission kit to buy to replace the filter and gasket? The gasket on there now leaks pretty good and I see where someone put RTV all over it.

Is there a general kit that fits most th350's?

I can't answer your question but when you re-install the new gasket...install it dry.
no RTV stuff whatsoever.

Just remove the filter and bring it to a part's store to match it. This is the best way when you're not sure.
