Straight or tube type for a 4779 double pumper and a 3310

Thanks in advance

I never noticed any difference in performance. I now use the standard straight type just because they cost about 1/2 as much as the tube type.

You can use either but I prefer the tube type. The tubes help direct the pump shot closer to the center of the booster and it just makes me feel better:).

Thanks..I stuck with the straight type and ordered up a #35
Stock in my carb is 31,so I think the 35 would be reasonable one to try out at the track.

Chris, I would be interested to hear your results as I am running 31s in my 4779...

Chris,

I have a collection of squirters (28 to 60  ) if you want to do some other testing.

I use the straight type because I am worried (paranoid may be the better term) the tube might fall off in my motor.

Tom,thanks for the offer.
Ron,I will try the #35 nozzle after I make a few passes to get a baseline, plus I changed the stock 3310 metering plate for a metering block/#80 jets,so I'll have get a few baseline runs with the jet change first.I'm hoping to get my MPH up a little and get some more 12 second timeslips with the jetting change.
I guesss the squirter/nozzle will help 60 ft.
Tom,what # squirters where you running in the Monte back when it was ETing mid 12's?

Thanks Tom.
Did you try anything over a 32 on the primaries?

Did you try anything over a 32 on the primaries? Yes, I went up to 42...no difference, so I kept dropping it down until I got a slight hesitation around 28 or 30, went back to 32 nd bumped up the rear by 2 to account for the dropping temperatures with the night racing.
