nah..been racing my car(s) every year at this event for the last 6 years..time to just relax and watch some other cars run and check out the show. I am usually too busy to do that stuff when racing.

I'll have my Chevelle in the show this year. It'll be the first "real" show I've been to since putting on the new hood.

I'll also be crewing on my buddy's nostalgia funny car. We came sooo close at Maple Grove a couple of weeks ago to running a six (7.01, actually). I'm praying that the air and track will be good because we're setting it on "KILL!" It's a BBC with a 6-71 on alky.

Jacob has a football game that am, I might leave from there about 1100 since the 5 hour run to Albany IS the cars shakedown run. Lord willing, be there at 1630 hrs.

We went there once with Lightfoot, Dave, Chris and Jeff...

There is a pretty decent brickoven pizza joint up the road..the other scary place "Smity's" or whatever it is called has been closed (that was the place we all went to the first time we got together)
I will be arriving at the luxuriously appointed Bate's Motel about 5PM or so

It was good to see you guys again. Sorry I didn't get to catch up a little more but it was a "working day" for me. Somebody had to come over and tell me that I won a car show award!

For those that may have missed it... after a little drama (and a missed run) we came back and ran a 6.97 and then a 6.95 with the funny car. An all-time best for us and definately something we're proud of.

Hope everyone made it home safe. I'm junk... off to bed.

I always enjoy our get togethers in Da Valley. Hopefully next year we get a few more raceres, and a Richmond box that takes my commands better!

A few years back, I was making fun of the stick guys who " hadn't been practicing all year". This year, I was one of those mopes!

Anyway, a great weekend , but not the same without the ever present bronze Monte. Hope Tom B heals up well and is back in the cockpit next year.

I dropped the clutch at 5000 on that launch, felt squirrly out-of-the-hole ( since posi wasnt working under the stress of great track prep and slicks ), and once again banged second ( NOT at WOT), and there was nothing there.

Another 2.20 60', which makes sense sicne I'm SUPPOSED to be shifting before 60'!

Snuck into the 1/8 run against the Judge. Po'd the linesman, but hey, I had to see what the heck was wrong with 2nd gear.

Great to see you guys, very disappointed in NOT being able to push Old REd througha full pass. He felt DAMN strong yesterday. Great air!

If that does not get him to work on the shifting, nothing will. I could maybe understand it on the 2-3 shift but 1-2 :(.

Shaun, relax bud its a mechanical issue. Funny though,. on the way to the track I passed Chris just to nail the 2-3 , which is the hardest quick throw by far. Hope its jsut a shift rod adjsutment.

if you ever go auto,a 200R4 is what you want.A nice unit from a Turbo Buick.
