This isn't intended to be a "for sale" ad.
I have the UltraDyne 255/263 .612/.638 110 lobe sep solid cam that came out of my Nova. And I of course kept the lifters in order. I was going to use it in the 496 but the roller cam urge bit my butt hard.

Is it safe to use this in a different engine?
Seems to me that if the lifter bores were machined a bit differently, one would be asking for trouble.

In other words, should I try to sell it or is it now just a relic for the recycle guy?

You'll probably be OK to reuse the cam, just look carefully at the top of each lobe and the face of each lifter for pitting or signs of wear. If the lobes and lifters look perfect than it will most likely be fine . . . if there is any pitting or any odd wear patterns I wouldn't sell it.

I agree. If the lifters are still matched to the correct lobes, they can be used if they look OK. If there is EVER any question whether or not they are still matched, replace the lifters and break the cam in again.
Many a BB288/296F10 has worn out several blocks, using the same cam and lifters.

Good news. I'll check everything out carefully.
Great cam by the way Harold.
