: steering box power to manuel conversion fowl69 Sep 18th, 07, 10:47 AM I have a 69 chevelle and i want to put manuel steering on my car it is power right now and works fine . need a drag race deal dont want power steering . what do i do ? s10 box or what if i have to use a s/10 box what do i need found a 66 manuel box but pitman arm did not fit my center link ge wiz somone help me. fowl69 Sep 19th, 07, 10:50 AM no one Brettd85 Sep 19th, 07, 3:51 PM Umm I dont have experience with this, so maybe just consider this a bump. I believe you can just buy a box, but also need a manual pitman arm. The manual pitman arm should fit your centerlink as the centerlinks are the same. I think all you need is a manual box from 66-72(64-65 may fit) and its manual pitman arm and you are good. Now if I am wrong I am sure someone will corect me. Don't get rid of your PS setup yet. Been this route before...changed back to a PS setup two weeks later.
