I am looking for a single TRW forged flat top piston for a 4.280 bore 454 Chevy. Anyone have any suggestions as to where I might start looking? The rest of the set has number 426P on the pistons. Thanks, Pat McNeil

Jeg's or Summit should have them.

Pat,
That doesn't look like a TRW forged piston number, it looks more like a cast number .
Not sure who's by memory but you might want to check ;)
I believe all TRW forged numbers are four digit

Mike, The pistons are from a set from the mid 1980's. I can't find any part numbers for their old stuff. Thanks

According to my big book of early stuff :D
It looks like an earlier TRW Hypereutectic.
H426P-.030,
Specs are:
.100 dome, pressed or floating pin rated at 8.5 with 119cc's & 9.8 with 101 cc's.

Mike, I truly appreciate your help. Unfortunatly, there is no "H" on the piston and more importantly it is definitly a Flat top piston with 2 valve reliefs in them. Thanks again, Pat P.S. I think that I'm going to find out that they are actually a cast piston.
