Well I got an email today from my uncle who managed to track down the guy I sold my very first 69 Chevelle to 20+ years ago and as luck has it its for sal. I have been looking for this car so I can give it to my son for his first car when he turns 16, it wasnt my first car but it was my first Chevelle and has sentimental value to me. I intend to restore it to its original color (frost green) and put a mild small block and auto trans in it for him. Well wish me luck I am waiting to hear what it is gonna cost me to buy it back. I am very excited :D

Its in PA and I am in AZ but it never left the area. I bought it from the original owner and it had 34k miles on it, when I sold it it had about 50k on it. I am hoping it will be in decnt condition but if not I am prepared to do a complete resto on it.

Thats cool. Good luck with it. Is the son excited about it? I would be if I were a kid.

I just hope your son is responsible. Even with a mild small block it could get out of hand...

Come on put a healthy big block, a 4 speed, a 4.10 12 bolt posi, and a clutch that hooks up like a SOB. :D

Now hold on there Joe ! You said PA. car, sounds like 20 years of Salt to me. Maybe have someone in the area take a look for ya and see what it needs, shy of everything like my 68 MD. car. I would have liked to find one of those AZ. cars myself. But glad you located it anyway.:hurray:

The car had a big block in it after I pulled the 307/PG out of it. I lived in PA when I first purchased it and when I went into the Marines I sold it to a friend of my uncles and have alays kept tabs on it so I knew it hadnt left the area and had been stored in this guys garage since I sold it. I havent seen the car in a long time so who knows, Ill be happy to get it back no matter what the shape. My son is excited but he has 8 years to wait to drive it even if we get it now. That will give him plenty of time to toil and labor to bring it back to life. Even though I dint like the green color it was when I got it and changed it to red I intend to put it back to green since it is my sons favorite color. It is an AC car also which will be nice in the AZ heat. And if it gets done before he turns 16 ole dad will have to keep it for a bit :D I will post picks when I finalize the deal.

It will look like this but in a ragtop  :D. Just an opinion here and I am a little biased, but I think the Frost Green looks good on the 69 and only the 69 model year.

Actually it will look just like that. I like the frost green now but when I was younger red was cooler :) It even had a green interior.

My car was a daily driver in MN until the early 80s, then sat under a tarp for @ 10 years. I have done no bodywork other than 5 washings and a buffing. As long as it's taken care of, the car could have survived well enough.
