So, I ran my car out of gas a while back. Then I flooded it and fouled the plugs on the restart.

I've changed the plugs, but now it's VERY hard to get it started. I have a Holley on it, and before the flooding incident I didn't even have to pump it to start it.

Now it takes multiple pumps and 5-8 turns of the switch.

Once it runs, it starts fine. But after it sits awhile...see above...

Could there be trash in the carb? Why would you think it's acting like this?

Thanks

Maybe your pumping it too much. I did that in the Chevelle once. It usually takes a few pumps and turning the key 2-3 times. There was once that I pumped it way too much ,dont ask me why, and I had to turn they key about 6 times. And I could really smell the gas when it started. Then it finally hit me that I flooded it a little bit.

But if thats not the case then I have no idea.
