Hi all. I can't believe I am posting this but reality is reality. I may be looking at a possible business venture and we may try to sell our 66. This is a frame off that we redid to the best of our ability. I know I have 50-55k in the car and do not plan on getting anywhere near that and have looked at ebay prices and it seems so many of those cars like mine never make reserve. Here is a brief list:

goodmark panels and all rust was cut out. Entire car stripped.
Vinyl top
All exterior lights, trim, or anything replated to the exterior either replaced or refinished
Completely refinished chassis with factory steering. Some suspension mods.
Interior factory look with covans dash, vintage air, painless wiring, 1200 watt mid grade stereo.
540 ci, richmond 4+1, 12 bolt with good axles

Every part was either replaced, cleaned, or restored on it. Just curious as to what you guys think could be realistic for the car. If I have to take a huge hit, it can just sit in the garage and I will go to plan B.

Thanks,

A link to some pics would help, but a "modified" car normally brings less than an original type restoration. I say normally because unlike most, I like the 'modernized' cars better myself. They should be driven and the updates make them much more enjoyable to me. That said, if you have somewhere from $50 - $60k in it, expect to get $30 to $40k. Even then, it will have to be the 'right' buyer. If it is spotless and I mean perfect, you might consider auction but remember they get a BIG chunk of the sale price.

I would think 35k to 40k for sure, sounds like it has all the goodies:)

Thanks for all the replys. I am more than sure I will take a serious hit on selling it. And finding the right buyer is key for sure. I do not have any pictures on the PC of it right now or I would post them. It is white with a black top and polished Autodrags. I have given some thought to yanking the 540 out and sticking a fresh 454 that is sitting in a friends garage right now. That will knock down my return in a way but I have a alot of money in the motor. The performance has not been stellar as the track so far but with a few minor chanes and minimal expense the car would flat haul the mail but it has no bar in it so low 12's at 116 with a 2.0 60ft. on 87 octance has been fine with us. The car was put together with intentions of putting some highway miles on it. We are just looking at potential options right now as nothing has materialized.
