I posted this somewhere else and i thought this might be a better venu.

Does anyone know how or have any suggestions on removing and replacing the speedo and speedo lens on a 67 chevelle? I am about to replace some components on the dash but i want some advice before i start.

Here is step by step instructions on removing your dash, it's a two part article. The link for part two is at the end of part one that I posted. This is from the first issue of Chevelle world. You must drop your dash to get the speedometer cluster out.

It's not really a big deal, I can drop my dash in about 30 minuets or less.

Thanks for that link Rocky. I've been wanting to pull my dash, and this most certainly will help. I'm sure acquiring quite a few bookmarks from this (TC) site :)

Don't let the dash scare you, it's a easy project to get out.

It's actually amazing how little work there is to pulling the dash in a 67. It's also imtimidating as hell. After someone else pulled mine (bodyman) and later handed it to me, I was sure I would never get it back together. Now, after working with it to install the Shiftworks instrument conversion and re-programming the wiring harness to accomodate them and other upgrades, I'm finding that pulling the dash is the simplest part of the job.

Thanks for the help, it looks like an easy tear down but do i have to take apart the whole dash for the speedo? If so, no biggie.
