I was wondering if anybody out there makes a nice aftermarket crossmember for the TKO 600 in a 68-72 chevelle. I know that the stock crossmember can be modified but i was wondering if anybody fabs a nice one that is powdercoated and all the welds look good. Basically I am trying to find one that looks nice and not hacked.

You shouldn't have to hack your crossmember to use it, just slide it back about 1.5 inches and drill another hole in the frame and bolt it in, The only thing you have to do is dimple the top some. You can't see the dimple when its installed. After you get it fitted, rattle can it with some semi gloss and it looks great.

my bad, I assumed that going from a TH400 to a TKO 600 would take some modification. I honestly havent even looked at it yet, I have just begun to assemble the parts for the swap. Would the TH400 crossmember work?

Keisler makes a very nice looking and very sturdy x-member. All laser cut metal and pretty fancy. I have one in my car.
