I'm not sure either because the 427 was available in all the full size line including wagons without going thru COPO.

Read down into the Q&A:
Q: Your description says COPO, can you elaborate here. Thanks Sep-14-07
A: The TITLE says copo which is a mistake, but you can't change or modify the title once the listing has been posted. Maybe the "luggage rack delete"...more

Keep in mind that it somebody(dealers wife/GF) wanted an off color car ,it could have been had back then via a COPO.
They weren't that hard to generate all you had to do was ask.

Very cool car , ive seen a few around in the past. In fact a friend of mine bought one a few years back just for the engine.Copo . I dont think its a special order unless its a 450 hp version with 11-1 compression.

It sure would make a neat old nostalgia tow vehicle!

I'd hate to try to restore that with hardly anything being offered as reproduction parts.

Trim and interior would be a nightmare.

it still easier than restoring an AMC product! ;) :D

I would have to drive in the meantime (at least a drivetrain and suspension rebuild) and accumulate the parts to do the restoration correctly. At least you go pick up the parts in it too! :)

Is that the 335 HP 427?
