Anybody know what motor this is. 2 or 4 bolt

I've got two of 'em with the same 3970010, one's a 4 bolt out of a '75 Chevy van, the other a 2 bolt out of a boat that also cross references to a '70 Caprice....you'll have to look at the other numbers to find year/model/combo. I can't remember where I looked before but you can't tell 2 or 4 bolt without pulling the oil pan. Mortec says '69-'80 model years.

Likely not a 4 bolt but the pan has to come to know for sure..

Thanks, the guy said he thought it came out of a 78 Blazer. These were hydraulic flat tappet cams, right?

Well pulled the pan and it is a 4 bolt. :)

I got the head numbers also.

The weird thing about the Pad numbers is that the second digit of VO508TYX is a square character. Like this []. Has anyone had this before? Also has a date code of E65. What is this date?
