: Where to find a VC1810 distributor vacuum can?

I have been trying to order a VC1810 (B28) vacuum can for my distributor from NAPA Online. Once they cancelled my order after nearly two weeks of it sitting unfulfilled in their system, now the order is sitting again with no action. Their site shows it as in stock. I have not yet been charged for the item.

Apparently NAPA does not have one in stock anywhere in the world. Is there anywhere else I can find this somewhat obscure vacuum can? Not even the Corvette restoration parts vendors seem to have this one.

TIA.

Do you have a NAPA store near you? I had the same problem last summer and my local NAPA said the inventory must have been off in that particular warehouse. He ordered whatever it was for me from a different warehouse and I had it in a couple of days. Just a thought.

Well, they cancelled my order again when I inquired. I'll have to check in with my local store and see what they can do.

I found one at Ecklers Corvette parts but I can't get a straight answer from them if the vacuum can just "looks" correct or if it also functions as the original VC1810 should function. This can is unique in that it has a very low threshhold (starts adding advance at 3 inches of vacuum) and was used on GM performance engines with wild cams providing weak vacuum at idle.

Rich, try Vette Products of Michigan. They are the largest supplier of vette parts in the US. I needed an AC Delco original bypass fuel filter for a 69 Camaro I am working on and they were the only one that carried the product. They actually reproduce obsolete parts like the fuel filter I needed. It's been out of production for some time but they had a quality repro in stock. Most suppliers like Ecklers buy from them also. Hope this helps

I walked into my local Napa tonight and bought the (2) VC1810 cans they had in stock.

Here is what pops up on the AC Delco site. Maybe you can find a Delco equivalent.

One of the local NAPA stores was able to order it in from another NAPA store in Houston. I finally got my VC1810 and it made a noticeable mprovement in how the engine idles.
