I am trying to pull together a complete fuel injection system for under $2,000. Now that sounds steep but it will include a fully controllable ecm where you can make on the go changes w/ a laptop. Fuel pump that can handle up to 500hp, fuel lines(the buyer will have to run them thereselves, Manifold of thier choice built ready to go with custom fuel rails, whatever size injectors, throttle body and every sensor needed for thier application, and custom wiring harness with a chocie of colored wrap. Would anyone be interested? I really want to help people like me that want fuel injection but dont want to spend 3 and 4 grand to get it.

I am also going to work with just building the seperate pieces if maybe someone only needs a wiring harness, manifold, fuel rails, etc.

With summits 10% discount I was able to get Holley's Commander 950 MPFI for under $2000 and it has everything and factory support and warranty. Did you mean $1000?

If you want to buy something the Holley Commander systems are hard to beat. If you want something a little cheaper look at the Holley TBI units.

Some of the pro-jection units are under 2K. Not the ones Summit/Jegs advertises but if you look through a catalog at the local speed shop there are a few different systems out there.

Well my standard system is going to be around $1500. It will utilize a throttle body built out of a holley carb body(i am going to just use the body core but it will look and be as smooth as a regular throttle body. I will use cleaned and tested injectors, the sensors will all be new, the wiring harness will be custom fit for your application, new fuel rails, new fuel pump and lines, Complete ECM. Pretty much a complete system for that price. My system will also be able to be used on chevy, fords, mopar, pretty much any application. If you wnat to use nitrous, turbo, supercharger, or just large amounts of horespower my sytem can handle it. Now obviuosly the price will vary when you want more power or use other forms of power adders and i will also have options on my kits such as CNC throttlebodies, intake manifold design, etc. I am hoping to have my site up in the next few months.

Thanks for any replies or suggestions.

What computer are you planning on running? Would it be capable of wide band O2?

Does 1500 include intake as well. If not the big guys are going to outprice you, if you had to buy and intake and have injectors bungs welded in you would have to add another 500-700 to that price tag making your kit over 2200-just a suggestion.

PS, cleaned and tested injectors-meaning used injectors I guess. If you could offer this for around 1K I'd think about it but for around 2K I'm gonna go with a major company with full tech support and all new parts, and a full warranty. Not being nasty, just putting it out there-I am a full time tech and do some perf upgrades including conversion to EFI and dealing with bigger companies when things don't work correctly is usually easier.

You do know that the Holley Commander 900cfm TBI system is about $1400? I just don't see how your pricing will compete with that.

I think something that is really lacking in the world of EFI is a cheap fuel pump system. In almost every case, just sticking a in-line pump onto the tank outlet doesn't cut it for efi. Yet, most efi sellers just give you the in-line pump and let it be your problem. If you could come up with a reasonably priced pump set-up that would work 100% it could be well received.

sorry you guys for not getting back to ya...
Well im working on a few different systems but i want ya to help me design the product because im not looking into doing this for the money(don't get me wrong i wanna make a little, but im not asking to make tons of money off these systems. I just love cars and everything about them. I want to help everybody thats wants fuel injection pretty much.
I will get back to ya in a lil bit and describe the pump im am using with all my systems except maybe the over 500hp applications.
And yes that price includes the manifold of your choice now it may raise a little if u want a 500 dollar manifold. But i will get back to ya on more specs.

I want ya to help me to design this system so any suggestions ya have on a better product or anything about the system just let me know.

I am going to be using a Walbro pump for 140 dollars and it will support from what i have researched, modestly 600hp. They have in tank pumps and exteranl pumps so i will use whatever you are wanting cause i have heard that alot of people dont like anything about external pumps, but as we all know we have to modify our tanks to have in-tank pumps. Walbro also makes Holley fuel pumps, so i know they are a good product. I have seen alot of twin-turbo mustangs and camaros run these pumps up to 900-1000hp. Now the cool thing about there setup is they would setup two external pumps inline with each other and had great results(Daily Drivers).
Like i have said before you can choose the manifold of your choice(Victor, Stealth, Brodix, Tunnel Rams whichever you want i'll make it). The Manifold is going to be a base price, whatever it cost to buy or get to my place ill only charge you that price. I don't believe in making money of that stuff cause all im doing is picking up a phone and ordering the product.
CNC throttlebodies, or my own holley DP built throttlebodies(pictures will be on my soon to be site in a little while). - $100
I am using the Megasquirt ECM, i am trying to get hold of the builders and get a even better deal maybe if i buy in large qauntities.
I am only going to charge $50 for the 8 hours of building the ECM. The software is free but i am going to burn it on a disc for ease of installation. No charge there either. Total will be around $200 for a completely on the fly programmable ECM.

Fuel rails, Fuel Injectors, Fuel Lines, Sensors, are only gonna be whatever they cost, no extra charge from me.

Wiring Harness is only going to be $50 flat rate.

Machine work is only going to be $100 flat rate no matter how many hours i put into the manifold.

The systems are completely custom the way you want it but there are all the prices and i figure the all around standard system will run around 1300 dollars.
