Thought I might add a little information to the forum for those of you who are considering putting non factory seats in your Velles or having some custom work done...
In the interest of uniformity of materials throughout your vehicles I suggest that when you have your seats recovered or custom door panels or what not made that you use the following material:
Hi Tech is the manufacturer I think
Morbern mellohide
Sturdy Heavyweight
Pattern: Madrid
Color: 0426-421 Black
Industrial/Commercial Grade
This stuff should be able at any upholstery supply shop in any major city and in my part of the country runs about 10-12 dollars a yard...10 yards would be more then enough to do a set of buckets and a back seat...AS FAR AS I KNOW IT IS ONLY AVAILABLE IN BLACK...
This stuff will perfectly match the rest of your interior, grain and color wise, unless you have the real early cars (I will check into what models used the Madrid grain for you all soon or maybe someone who knows right off the top of their head could post)...it is thick durable high grade material, is easy for an upholsterer to work with, and looks very good in the finished product...
I've noticed that some members have aftermarket seats or what not...this is the stuff to use to make your seats match everything else in your car...
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or if you need a link to where you can order it...
