First post, but I've read chevelles.com for everyone's expertise many times over. Has anyone recently contacted Dave Ray by e-mail? I used the e-mail address from his website, but he is not responding. I need another distributor converted. He did one for me in December 2003. Are there any pictures of his conversions posted on the internet? Thanks.

I seem to remember he was having some health problems. Probably has more on his mind than emails at the moment.

Is He Chevy Ray the shifter guy? He just did a shifter for me. If so send me a email through my web site and I can give you his phone # when I get to work tomorrow. Gary

I phoned him a while back to do a distributor for me, and he told me to e-mail some information to him. He never got back to me. I decided to do something else.

Jim, too bad you couldn't wait, Dave's conversions are simply the best available. I have 12 of his conversions, and wouldn't use anything else, period.

Dave is taking care of a few loose ends and will be back in force with the conversions the 1st of October. I spoke with him this morning, and he is working on getting the shop back in order, so he can go full throttle again.

Any new updateds on Dave?

I sent two emails, one two weeks ago, and one last week. No reply.

Call yesturday, no answer, and no return call yet.

He installs the module from a GM HEI in a points type distributor body. Modern convenience & reliability with a traditional look.

Dave is recuperating from yet another issue, while he was recovering from a serious lung infection, still in the hospital, he was bitten by a black widow spider. Of course, this helped immensely.

Since the first of this year, he has been shot stopping a robbery, had the lung infection and then, the spider. Not bad for just one year.

He should be back into his shop in a couple of weeks...barring anything else trying to kill him.
