Hello out there! Here's my problems, #1 I smacked my Chevelle up after owning it for 10years and getting it the way I wanted it! 454 400+hp 12.50 with 2.56 posi! Problem #2 I got the 355ci I had in the chevelle before the 454 went in and put it in a '82 trans am. Now before the knight rider jokes start it was a good deal couldn't pass it up 1000cdn and its clean save the pos 305 and th200 that were in it. I know have the 355 and a fresh th350 in the t/a. In the Chevelle the 355 would do 13.25 in the 1/4 and could snap 80mph in 1st @6000rpm with the 2.56 gear, and 2.5 exhaust. The t/a has 3.42's and a single 3" ehxaust to a ultra flow 3in and two 2.5 out I can't get more the 5000rpm cleanly out er any more goes good to that point then I think its choaked?? 1/4 is close to the Chevelle but could be better if it could rev?? help me out cam??
Exhaust(its shorty headers 2.5 collector to y to 3" single)?? here's what else i can tell yah
cam ertel custom don;t know specs but it pulls at 1500-6000 in chevelle
heads are common cast truck heads with 1.94's mild port
dynomax shorty header to 2.5 collectors
edelbrock performer with 600cfm electric Chevelle had a built q-jet
electronic ignition hei stock
open air k+n 3"x14"
Give me a hand what should i do to get the rpm up
I'm thinking 268h comp but what some advise on the above combo thank Cam
