I currently have a Holeshot 3000 converter in my tranny. I know I need more gear and better heads, they are coming. The car runs excellent and I know there is a lot more in it. If I change the converter to a Holeshot 2400 would the car ET any better?? I'm currently running 8.80- 9.20 depending on the altitude of the track run on.I just have a feeling that a smaller converter would lock up quicker and ET better.

I'm no expert but I would expect with a large cam like that and the high gears you would want the larger stall...
Like I said I'm no expert but that is what my understanding thus far would be

Your car will be slower for sure swtiching from a 3000 B&M to a 2400..IMHO,just change the gear. What is your current/best 60 ft.?
I run a 2400 Holeshot.Works good,but I know my combo would 60 ft. better/ET quicker with a better convertor.

thats a big ass cam  stick witha 3000 stall and once u get the heads and 373s well then throw some slicks on it.... a low stall anit gonna help u any...... in my opion that is to much cam for ur motor u need heads baddly about 200cc intake runners and and 202 160 valves will do if u wanna go bigger 205 160 but thats all ull need to get the bitch to run faster.......

Without changing anything else here is a rough guideline.
2400 stall - lose 0.4 in ET
3600 stall - pick up 0.2 in ET

..if you want to go quicker now,you need DOT slicks (ET streets,Hoosiers, etc)
forget about street tires
