My sb 400 is pushing around 450-475 Hp and has a turbo 400 trans with a shift kit. What would be a good combo torque converter, drive line and rear-end for street/ strip use?

Can you give us all the major specs on the motor and also tire size and vehicle weight if known?

Not to be a rainstorm, but are you sure your engine is making 470-ish horsepower?
Your combo seems a bit mild to be making that kind of power. It seems more like an engine making less than 420 horses.

just an opinion,
i hope you make lots of big power

that motor should be pushing 450 ft lbs anyway.
as far as the rear gears, I would go with a 3.55 or 3.73 depending on how much highway driving you will be doing. My 68 also has a 406 and 3.36 gears and I thought I would want lower gears but it works pretty good with the 3.36, it ran 12.8 on street tires with those gears. I don't think I would go lower then 3.55 on mine because I take it on long cruises, ect. I would call Coan about the torque converter, I recently talked to them and they were very helpfull. I am going to put their 11" "pro-street" converter in mine as per their recomendation

For comparison, my '69 w/ 408BBC runs 3000 converter w/ 3.73 gears. Very streetable with 28" tall tire. Any less gear and the converter would probably slip too much depending on what speed you were driving. This seems to be a good combination. Most guys running 3.31's (or thereabout) drop down to a 2400 converter.

Before I got the heads and cam I was told by Barnette (Speed shop in Atlanta) I was pushing 375 horses, they said with the new heads and cam I might be around 450-475. This is what I was told. What would be a better head/cam combo to get 475 horses, I haven't put them on yet so I can still return them.

210 cc intake heads dart/afr/pro action
xe274/xe284
i could be wrong but for a larger cube sb that stuff should do pretty good,oh possibly a carb thats a little more performance oriented

I'll second the 200 cc plus heads and a cam in the 240 range @ .050. to compliment a 3.55-373 gear and a 2800-3000 stall would make the car really quick and driveable as a weekend cruiser. If you do alot of hwy driving i would just tighten up the converter a bit.

Your current cam and heads will be done at 4000 RPM.
