hey i just got a set of vortecs for 340 bucks, nice and low milage. i wanan use them for my combo, and im running the XE274 cam, what kind of work do i need to do to the heads to make them work with that cam? part numbers would be great if ya got em

the heads are of a 99 K1500

You need to get them clearanced for the lift,only supposed to handle .450-.480 in stock form,and use the springs recommended for the cam you are using. My sons has Z28 springs and I think they were a bit too much for the smaller cams we used at first,,,wiped two lobes on the first cam,wiped one lobe on the second cam,both times it took 4-5 months,,,we then installed the xe274H and its been running good for a year next month. I think the ramps on the xe series are a good match for the z28 springs.
