Trying to replace bad front u joint in wifes 97 Tahoe.Don't see what holds it together, usually there are little u clips on the inside of the yokes but not on this one.Original if that helps.Does it just press apart? Thanks

Doug, some of the original u joints were held in by a wax/rubber like material that was injected in the ear of the driveshaft. you should see a small hole on the ear if this is the case..i always heated the ear up w/ a torch and the material comes out. then you can press them out as usual. there may be a better way of doing this, but my way always worked for me..Sean

sometimes you will have to heat it up for a min or so, then it will start squirting out like a little worm. Press the u-joint while heating it up.
