Hey guys I could use a little help with some numbers. tryin to fiqure out what I have and if the motor matches the car...
Here's the #'s off the block

Engine '68 327 2bbl and not your cars from factory. If you car was a 327 from the factory, it would be a 4bbl car. The V8 2bbl cars were 307

Thanks for the info, bad news on the motor "A" so what vehicular did my motor come out of?
what does it mean by the cloth? does that mean it could have cloth or imitation, or it for sure had cloth? It has the imitation now, doesn't really matter it will never have cloth :noway: thanks for the help... ray

"Probably" a Chevy truck, per a couple of sources on casting number on the block. But for sure not Chevelle.
The interior would be the base vinyl interior with bucket seats. I've never owned a '68 so I'm not real sure on the actual makeup of the fabrics. I "think" that the "inserts" would be a coated fabric but again I say, I'm not sure. I don't ever remember seeing a bucket seat car that wasn't the Deluxe (Imitation Leather) interior. Someone else will have to chime in on that one.

The trim # was 766, which is a black vinyl bucket seat interior.
