I posted this over on Team Camaro and thought I would post here also.
I found some 10w-40 motor oil that is SF rated and says it is for 1988 and older model years. The brand name is UNI-LAB and is distributed by Dolgencorp inc.(Dollar General). If this is an oil with a high level of zddp I am going to buy a few cases. Other then it being a no name brand I am not to sure about using oil that is $1.25 a qt. in my 7,000 motor. The only reason I could come up with for the low price is it needing to be used in 1988 and older vehicles. What do you think?

I dont know anything about it, but for piece of mind I will be using more expensive oil and then adding zddp after from the red stp bottle. I know what works, I dont mind spending a couple extra bucks a year. It may very well be the best oil on the market, however, this is unlikely and I dont feel like being the one to validate that.

Walmart sells their brand like it too for not all that much money! Like $1.29/qt???
