Need to lift my 385/AFR'd sb. The intake is an Eddy Air-Gap. Strength wise, is this manifold ok ... to lift by, .. using a carb lifting plate? Wondering if the air gap design might be weaker than "airless" intakes. Thanks

I've lifted my iron headed 350 several times with a carb plate on my rpm air-gap. Always with the scattershield and clutch installed, and once even with the muncie attatched as well. No trouble yet! :)

Lifted my big block with and without 6 speed attached by using plate...three times. It's an effective and easy way to install or remove an engine.

don't sweat it- you can even buy billet aluminum lift plates these days, so i wouldn't worry about the intake. hell, you could probably lift your whole car using a lift plate on that intake.

I have lifted my Iron Headed Big Block with an RPM Air Gap in and out numerous times with a Carb Lift Plate without any issues whatsoever. Procede without fear!
