If anyone has any pics or diagrams of the cable and lever arrangement it would be greatly appreciated.Helping my dad out with his car and it"s been awhile since I had mine.He picked up the tranny used,believe it's a 350 turbo and had it rebuilt,but I think the cable bracket and lever he bought are incorrect.I'm assuming the cable hooks on the shift lever from the underside am I right?

Yes. The shift bracket arm where the cable attaches to points down.

It uses 2 bolts that hold the pan on.
