Here is my combo: 68 chevelle 4 door sedan, 406 c.i. 2 bolt main, cast crank (balanced, knife edged & chamfered), stock 5.7 rods (balanced), cast pistons flat tops(balanced) 9.5.1, sportsman II heads (2.05/1.60) 64cc 1.6 roller rockers mild prot work done, Victor Junior intake with 750 hp dp turbo 400 (roller ball bearing, racing pump, & sprag) & trans. cooler, 3500 stall 10" conv. Am looking at a 12 bolt posi now with a 4.56 gear with 28" tall tires.
Car weight 3542 lbs (HRP scales Baytown), car has aluminum radiator, billet underdrive pulleys, aluminum water pump.
I don't mind going solid, car is a weekend fun car and we want radical idle and good response off idle, If I need to put a vaccum cannister on it that is okay. The car will be driven to the track. What do you recommend? Part?
