I have a set of 87 aluminum corvette heads on my 350 in my 66 chevelle. They have the weird spark plug angle where cylinder numbers 2-4 and 6-8 point toward each other. Every time I need to mess with my spark plugs, I have to take off my headers so I can get a wrench in there. Are there any recomendations on a particular header that will make it easier for me?

A couple things that might help, I think Accell makes a plug with a shorter tip for headers, (to help get a socket on easier), and I think Snap-on has a short plug socket also. The combination may make it serviceable W/O taking off the headers.

Have you tried a box wrench? An offset version works best for me. I gave up on spark plug sockets a long time ago.

I agree with Pat on the Box wrench. I use a 5/8" box end to get to several of my plugs. I come at them from underneath the header with the wrench pointing toward the floor. It won't work in all situations but seems to work on all plugs I can't get a socket on.

Yup; a box-end wrench, with about a 1" offset from the handle to the box; and the handle angled back away from the box about 15-20°.
