My son went to Vegas to be part the Pinks All Out this weekend, just figures I had to work. They will be running his friends 64 Nova,it is a pretty consistant 10.50 car. Anybody going?

Well if the past is any indication your friend will do just fine in that range. It seems they ALWAYS run 10.20 or so cars. I'd like to see them run a street tire, street car PINKS ALL OUT.

Now here is a good pinks all out. Car has to be a 1972 or older car, it has to have street tires carberated no no2 allowed. I think it would be fun to see a bunch of old cars running 14 sec as a show.

Despite my thrashing PINKS all week in the performance forum, I went and had a great time. The issues that I had proved unfounded so far. I attempted to "comply" with their sudden change from "liberal tech" to "extensively scrutinized" NHRA inspection policy(which turned out to be "VERY LIBERAL"), trying to keep my E.T. above the dreaded 11.49 mark. Despite packing 300+lbs. of sandbags and weights in the trunk, then having it nose over at the 1000' mark from low fuel, I clicked off a 10.901 @ 122. Followed it up with two 10.70's at 127+ mph (with gas in the tank).

TCer Daryl Yost came from Durango, Co with his ProCharged 454 '69 Chevelle. Bested a previous 12.? @ 116 with an 11.7 then an 11.18 @ 122 before breaking his M-22 tailshaft housing. Were gonna try to find another in the morning.

So far, so good!

Oh yeah, pump gas and street tires on mine, Daryl's first time out with slicks. Never seen somebody so happy about breakage.
