427L88 Feb 10th, 04, 6:45 PM AWESOME!!! Those mid 80's Cutlass/Regals, etc are a very popular platform for drag cars up here, for good reason!
I wish HPTV would do a < $10K drag car build using one of these - 10 seconds for 10K all in!!!!
Anyway, KICKIN' TAIL! graemlins/thumbsup.gif
BBolds87 Feb 10th, 04, 6:54 PM Thanks
I don`t have that much $$ in this project.

Congrats on some awesome ET's..love those cars..I've owned several, and drive one everyday with an anemic 307 :D
Whats in that 468?
10secBu Feb 10th, 04, 7:04 PM That's running real fine for a first attempt graemlins/thumbsup.gif .
Can you give more detail of the engine & car combination?
Is that weight with or without driver?
My '79 Malibu weighs 3580 lbs w/driver (I'm 200), so I'd like to hear how you got yours down that far assuming it's with driver you quoted. Mine has a f/g hoof & front bumper, aluminum rad & water pump, manual brakes & steering, AC/heater delete, no back seat, plastic front seats, fuel cell out back, crash bars in the doors removed, iron headed bbc, full exhaust out the back and a 10 point mild steel cage.

JRS70LS5 Feb 12th, 04, 12:09 AM Your combo certainly worked for you graemlins/thumbsup.gif I see your running a mighty demon curious if it's annular or downleg booster and how it idles? graemlins/waving.gif
BBolds87 Feb 12th, 04, 8:42 AM JRS70LS5
The carb is a Mighty Demon 850 with downleg boosters. The idle is nice and clear, crisp throttle response is pretty good also. All i have done so for is the prestart up checks that Barry Grant recommends before you start it up.I`m sure it needs to be tuned in ,Cold starts are rough but maybe it is because i`m used to fuel injection? Once it is warm it is all good!

I`ll dig the scales out reweigh the car
and post the results for everyone.
