What do you guys use on polished aluminum wheels where you don't have to polish them all the time...I have a set of 17's to put on my 70 chevelle but they are so hard to keep clean it makes me want to keep the ole school american torq thrust d's on it.

Get them polished to perfections, using Mothers or SemiChrome or whatever you like. Then seal them up with Zoop Seal to protect it.

Been using Mothers and they look pretty good.

I've heard that Zoop Seal works great as a sealer.

I used a tube of Flitz polish and it worked great.

It's Charcoal Pearl Metallic.

It's a late 70's or early 80's color. I painted it that color back in 1981 and still had the can around when we went to paint it last summer. The paint shop looked up the code and mixed me up a fresh batch.

Base coat / clear this time around though :cool:

I always liked how it made the body lines and chrome stand out. The original white interior jumps out too.

I also painted the inner fender wells and firewall the same color. Some day I'll get around to adding some engine photos to my showroom (http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/showgallery.php?si=widetires22&limit=).

I have heard the exact opposite about Zoop seal. I have never personally tried it. I do know its not cheap, thats for sure.

I use Wenol polisher and Wenol wax on mine and I have no complaints.
