In my sig I have a pic of my 64' el camino that I bought a few weeks ago. The car has a good body with no rust. The engine and tranny are out of the car but I can fix that. The interior is completely out but the car came with the factory bench seat. Basically the car is going to be a project and when I get it up and driving it's going to be my daily driver. The thing I want to know is would you have paid the $2,000 dollars that I did. The previous owner said he had a guy come from bakersfield with a car trailer after he sold it to me. The guy offered him $3,800 dollars and the guy refused it saying the car was already sold to me. So let me know what you think and what it's really worth.

Joe,

I'd say 2K is a very good price for that car and I think you should be the one smiling. Good score.

The thing is that the car is going to nickel and dime me to death. Some big things are that i'm going to replace all the brake lines and put in a dual resevoir master cylinder with a power booster. I also need to buy all new electrical, radiator, battery, starter, inner wheelwells, etc, etc, etc, everytime I look at the car it needs something else but I don't let that get me down because I can only image the first time i get to cruise it. It's always worth it in the end

Looks like you got a heckuva deal to me. :D At least you didn't overpay at the start, so the nickel and diming doesn't seem so bad. Get it running and drivable, then when you're cruising, the rest'll be gravy; a little at a time, and before you know it, you'll be done. Well, not really, cuz they're never really done, are they ;)?

Congrats! :thumbsup::beers:

Now I just have to show the rest of my family this thread because when I brought it home they all had that look on their face like "what the hell is this pile of crap?" but once they read this i'm sure they'll start to come around.
