added a little HP to the chevelle this weekend.

I am very happy the way it turned out. Runs and drives great like it always does, but when you hit the loud pedal look out, the power these turbos make is just crazy.

how big is the engine? I bet you'll have plenty of power.....lol

Are those instake tubes (after turbo) some kind of composite material? Or just painted steel?

And what's up with the quasi black & White picture. WE DEMAND BETTER! :D

I can't wait to see the Dyno curve!

What's the psi at the BOVs set too? Do they vent to atmosphere?

WAY COOL!

Sweet! More pics please. smile.gif

Also, is the exhaust housing / downpipe on the driver's side as close to the master cylinder as it looks? If so, you better invest in some insulation / heat shielding before you boil your brake fluid in the MC and have a nasty surprise one day when you go for the brakes...

What are you running for manifolds by the way?

Wow Dave, very interesting piece of engineering. Just wondering: did you consider any different turbo placement or routing of inlet pipes from turbos to carb hat? The reason for my question is that I'm curious how the sharp 90 degree bends immediately off the turbos affect efficiency - any idea?

thanks Jason

doggy, I build turbo's for a living so what it cost me would be different than for you. but if you paided retail price for just the parts its around 2800.00 plus around another 500.00 for the mandrel bends and braided line and fittings.

slicksty7 K & N's will be ordered today.

adman, Its a 350

BB_Mike, the intake tubes are just 2 1/2 mandrel bends painted black. should have it up on the dyno in two weeks. heres a better picture

Gokou, yes, it is close to the master cylinder, about a inch of air space. I am going to make a heat shield and insulate the pipe. The headers are sanderson custom stainless block huggers that have been highly modified

Bomber67 No matter which way I clocked the turbos a 90 bend would be needed for clearance reasons. Putting a 90 on the outlet side is ok, but its a big no-no on the inlet side

Nice Job Dave!!

$3500.00?? I would have thought it would have been more than that.

Curious, where in Tx are you located??
Do you rebuild turbos perhaps????

How much power are you expecting and with how much boost?

Dave... man that thing is badass!

I guess both of our cars have progressed quite nicely since that dyno session at LG huh? :D

When and where are you going to dyno... or get it to the track? I'd love to see this bad boy in action.

Since you seem to know what's going on..... (from the looks of the photos smile.gif ) How does the baseplate to carb body gasket stay in place when the throttle slams shut from WOT? Are there 'relief' valves on the turbo outputs? I always wondered how this works without the "box" over the whole carb (like the old days paxton setups)
