I have a 1978 GM Targetmaster 350 block with 4 bolt mains made in Flint Michigan not Mexico. 010 nickel content in the block, standard bore and in great condition. Is this block strong enough to build a 383 stroker? I've read mixed opinions online so I thought i'd ask the pros on this site....
Don't see any reason you can't.
It's just .030 overbore and some clearance for the rod bolts on the bottom end.
What's the block casting number?

The casting number is 3970010, I just want to make sure the block is strong enough before I start building it..

You'll be fine, just have a good shop clearance the block. And put ARP Bolts in the mains.(Cheap insurance,$22.00 For Pro Series, from Competition Products)
