Alright my cam went flat after buying my 69 chevelle with a 350. So, ive decided to rebuild it while im at it and would like your opinions on my motor and any recomendations and predictions in horsepower and track times you might have.
69 chevelle
350 SBC TH350

69 camel hump heads (valve job new valves,seats,springs etc.)
Comp cam (270H MAGNUM CAM)1800 to 5800 rpm
honed cylinders
holley contender intake
holley 750
headers dual 40 series flows dumped(with knockoffs)
10 bolt (no posi) 4.11 gears
BFG radial

PS before the rebuild w/emmision heads and a near flat cam i did 14.8 1/4 mile

14.5 With a posi and traction 14.2

Traction will be the biggest problem...if you hook..14 flat might not be out of the question...thats 8/10s quicker..and thats a lot

thanks to those who chimed in, another ?, would there be a noticeable improvement with roller tip rockers or is it not worth the hundred some odd bucks??

Remember, they do reduce friction in the valve train, which also releases any extra available hp. graemlins/thumbsup.gif ..i've got some 1.5 rollers, not sure what brand, but I like 'em! Would like to move up to 1.6s with a roller cam, now that'd be sweet :D
