put it in the necked down part of the collector roughly in the middle with it at 45 degree angle with a 45 degree cut on the back side facing out of the collector......so the passing exhaust will draw air and not shove it up the tubes of the evac. fitting........

if your planning on running full exhaust with these they dont work very well.....they respond good to open headers.....

when i did some testing years ago i was getting about 3" of vacuum pull with open headers..... with exhaust nothing.......

Thanks for info ....yes i understand with mufler little value but have a modified system for use with mufflers ...breather on valve cover drawing fresh air and custom breather in lifter valley of my BBC venting to pan evac check valve on one collector ... hopefully I can pull 2-3hg with mufflers and then will try an electric vacuum pump but want to get basic set up working first

So if i understand correctly install nipple at a 45* angle with a 45* cut on end of nipple .long end of nipple facing outlet of collector ....how far into collector 1 1/2" ???

Mr Gasket kit that I put on My car said the pipe should stick 1/2" inside the collector.
